01
What is Fiscara?
Fiscara is the financial data infrastructure for modern commercial decisions. It connects to every major accounting platform, normalises the underlying financial data into a single canonical model, and exposes it as an API-first financial intelligence layer for credit, advisory, embedded finance, and institutional reporting.
02
Who is Fiscara for?
Fiscara is built for institutional users of financial data — lenders and credit teams, accountants and advisory firms, fintech platforms and API integrators, investment and operating teams, and regulated institutions running covenant monitoring, board reporting, and audit-grade financial visibility.
03
What problem does Fiscara solve?
Financial data is fragmented across accounting platforms, inconsistent across businesses, and operationally expensive to normalise. Fiscara replaces the per-platform integration, manual reconciliation, and document-based financial review that institutions otherwise repeat for every borrower, client, or portfolio company — with a single, continuously refreshed canonical financial record.
04
How is Fiscara different from accounting software like Xero or QuickBooks?
Accounting software is the system of record where transactions are entered and posted. Fiscara is the infrastructure layer above it — connecting to those systems, normalising the data into one canonical model, and turning it into standardised financial intelligence. Fiscara does not replace accounting software; it sits on top of every major platform.
05
How is Fiscara different from lending software or credit decisioning platforms?
Lending and credit decisioning platforms operate workflows on top of financial data — application processing, scoring, monitoring, covenant tracking. Fiscara provides the standardised financial data layer those platforms consume. It is the canonical input, not the workflow.
06
How is Fiscara different from business intelligence (BI) tools?
BI tools visualise and report on data once it has been collected, cleaned, and structured. Fiscara is the canonical data layer underneath BI — providing the standardised, normalised financial inputs that BI dashboards, credit engines, and platforms then consume.
07
Which accounting platforms does Fiscara connect to?
Xero is live. MYOB is in beta. QuickBooks, Sage, and NetSuite are on the connector roadmap. All connectors resolve to the same canonical financial model, so a use case that works on Xero today works identically on every platform Fiscara absorbs over time.
08
What is canonical financial data?
Canonical financial data is financial data resolved into a single, standardised institutional model that behaves identically regardless of its source. In Fiscara’s case, the canonical model spans 36 months of normalised history and a derived signal layer of 21+ financial decision points across profitability, liquidity, cash flow, working capital, leverage, and behaviour.
09
What does API-first financial infrastructure mean?
API-first financial infrastructure means every normalised metric, decision point, and signal is exposed as structured, queryable data over HTTPS — designed to be embedded directly into credit engines, advisory platforms, and decision systems, rather than locked behind a proprietary user interface.
10
How does Fiscara handle data privacy and consent?
All accounting connectivity is customer-authorised. Access is scoped, time-bound, and revocable at the source-platform level. Every access event is logged in an audit trail, and every assessment activity is traceable to its consent record.
11
What is Fiscara’s security posture?
Fiscara is built on tenant-isolated financial data architecture with scoped partner and API access controls, encrypted data transport, structured access logging, and consent-led data connectivity. SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 alignment are in progress; UK GDPR and EU GDPR are aligned today.
12
Where is Fiscara based and where is data hosted?
Fiscara operates from the United Kingdom and serves UK, EU, and international institutional clients. Production financial data is processed within EU-resident infrastructure to align with UK GDPR and EU GDPR expectations.
13
Is Fiscara available now?
Fiscara is currently in early access. Lenders, advisory firms, platforms, and institutional teams can request early access through the contact form to begin a conversation with the team.
